HomesFlora isn’t just a plant blog — it’s a living, breathing space created by two lifelong friends who turned their shared passion for greenery into a digital home for plant lovers everywhere.

We’re Nathan Grant and Alina Hart — two plant-obsessed creators from California who met back in college and never stopped growing. Both of decide to start something to help the plants lovers through sharing our expert insights.

Meet Nathan Grant

Plant Science Writer & Horticulture Specialist
📍 Santa Cruz, California

Hey, I’m Nathan — a California native with a deep love for greenhouses, soil, and solving plant problems. My fascination with plants started early in my grandma’s backyard, where I learned how to propagate mint before I could ride a bike.

I later pursued Horticulture and Plant Sciences at UC Davis, worked with a few respected nurseries, and now write full-time about the science of plant care.

At HomesFlora, my mission is to take the guesswork out of gardening — with reliable advice, backed by science and written like we’re chatting over coffee.

Meet Alina Hart

Botanical Educator & Plant Styling Expert
📍 Pasadena, California

Hi, I’m Alina — a proud plant stylist, educator, and lifelong indoor garden enthusiast. I grew up in Pasadena surrounded by beautiful desert plants, but it wasn’t until college that I truly fell in love with indoor greenery.

After earning my degree in Environmental Studies & Design, I worked with nurseries, lifestyle brands, and even hosted local workshops helping people style and care for their indoor jungles.

Now, I bring my creative eye and plant know-how to HomesFlora. I love making plant care feel approachable, fun, and even a little stylish — no matter your experience level.
